Engaging Your City

A Call To Engage

Seeing the people, Jesus felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:36-38

Engaging your world with the love of Jesus can be as simple as sharing a meal! And as you intentionally engage those around you, you are entering the harvest, and helping those who are distressed or dispirited because they don’t know Jesus!

Our goal is to have someone engage in every community. This is done through Engage Groups and Engage Evangelism.

Engage Groups

Engaging your world with the love of Jesus can be as simple as sharing a meal!

Every person has a sphere of influence… in your neighborhood, workplace, apartment complex, or a specific demographic of people that you feel called to. Leading an Engage Group means intentionally engaging the people around you by gathering together at least once per month.

This means meeting in your home, in a coffee shop, or at your place of work, to intentionally take a journey together. The focus of your group may be discipleship, service, business mentorship, or another area of interest where you can intentionally grow together.

Every Engage Group includes a few key components that manifest the Lord’s presence:

  • Gather in His name
  • Minister to one another
  • Worship or work unto the Lord
  • Share testimonies
  • Break bread (or share a meal)

Engage Evangelism

Engage Evangelism means engaging the world around you as you go about your every day life. This means praying before you start the day and asking for divine encounters, releasing peace and blessings everywhere you go, and ministering to the people you encounter.

Engage Evangelism is a lifestyle, and it’s a key to reaping the great harvest that is at hand!

Engage Evangelism:

  • Release blessing until opportunity is realized
  • Recognize that fellowship/breaking bread is the door of opportunity
  • Minister to felt needs
  • Proclaim the testimony of Jesus

The harvest is ready, but the laborers are few! We believe that the harvest will be brought in direct proportion to the number of laborers that go out to shepherd others. Together we can engage the places we live with the love of Jesus!
