I own my own painting business and at an estimate, after the older couple agreed to have me paint their house, I asked if there was anything I could pray for in their life. I asked if I could pray for any healing in their bodies. A little uncomfortable the wife began to tell me the church they are apart of. After many words they pronounced that I wasn’t a true follower of Jesus because of the way they believe. Without getting offended I shared my testimony about Jesus radically changing my life. Then I asked again if I could pray. She said I could pray silently and they would pray silently for me to come to the truth.
After blessing them and asking again if I might pray for them again, she let lay hands on her feet and pray for her. She has had plantar fasciaitis for along time. Holy Spirit showed me she had pain in her back and hip too. After praying she had warmth in those areas and so I continued to pray. After praying her extremely painful foot pain was gone.
She pulled out her cell phone to show me a picture of her daughter’s surgery rod that was in her arm. She asked if I would pray for her too. I told her to call her up, but she declined the offer. I prayed for her daughter to have a new arm. I don’t know if her daughter did, but I am believing God for it.
I am so happy that I wasn’t taken aback by their opinions of me and my faith in Jesus. I could have debated the entire time about which version of the Bible I read, how pastors should or shouldn’t prepare sermons or other issues they challenged me on. I just chose to bless them and I am so happy to have blessed them and to have freely given healing to her.
