His Presence

imagesToday in Plymouth I spent the afternoon talking with a woman named Jen. She is a veteran of the Kuwaiti, Iraq and Afghanistan wars. She came to me because she heard my prayers help. She’s experienced the loss of a brother in war, a husband to adultery while she was at war, and a double mascstomy after coming back from war. She has been diagnosed with PTSD. She suffers from anxiety and depression as well. Her only companion and friend is her dog which was trained to be a companion dog. She wanted prayer simply looking for a friend, someone to help her to keep over coming all of these things.

She has had more than her share of suffering. We prayed for healing today. For confidence in taking her journeyman electricians test today among other things she asked for. Then I prayed for the thing that she didn’t ask for. The presence of God to fill her life, her physical body. With what she’s going through…He’s all she needs.  The Lord’s presence filled my little bus and touched her. She went from tears to sitting in total peace to laughter. She was quiet. After that gave me a side hug and got off the bus. She turned back and said see you Monday. She left and as she drove away I asked God what was all of that. He simply said, “Me being Me. I am.” Tears flowed down my face. God is so good.
