Salon Prayer
My daughter and I went to get her hair cut. We had a great time talking with the student who was cutting her hair. She shared with us different things that were going on in her life, a lot of changes and decisions. I wanted to pray for her but felt a little awkward and unsure. Then I was looking through my purse and pulled put a little book that I have used to record seeing God at work around me and through me. [Read more…]
Work Connection
I was working downtown one day and I was pretty sure I would have an opportunity to encounter a homeless person while I was heading to the job site. As I expected, a man stood with a sign on a corner. The stoplight turned red, so I rolled down my window and began interacting with him. I gave him some cash and found out that he was a painter by trade, but was just having trouble finding jobs to work.

Pool & Police Ministry
I went to the park to go swimming with several of my children. My son, 7, say a police officer and wanted to go talk to him. So we went over and engaged in a conversation. He asked if my son wanted to see his squad car, and get some stickers and badges. Of course we said yes, and went to his car and my son was shown all of the workings of a squad car, the lights, the equipment and oh yes the guns!
Upon the conclusion, I asked if I could pray for him and honor his service to the community. [Read more…]
Cafe Ministry
Myself and two others hung out at Living Waters New Age cafe in Hopkins. Every night of the week a different religion has a service and this was the Christian night. We got to preach, lead worship & activated everyone in the prophetic. In one of the groups, a reluctant 7 year old learned to prophesy and blessed his mom to the point of tears.
One of the cafe’s new employees (a high school senior) hung out in the doorway most of the night and this was my conversation with him afterwards:
